Miami Gay Bathhouses & Saunas

    Miami Gay Bathhouses & Saunas

Looking for some fun away from the sun? These bathhouses can be as hot or cool as you'd like them

Miami has a small but distinctive gay bathhouse scene. Club Aqua offers the city’s classic standalone bathhouse experience, while Gaythering is unusual for having a men-only sauna inside one of Miami Beach’s best-known gay hotels.

If you’re staying in South Beach, Gaythering is the easiest option. Club Aqua is further inland on Coral Way and is more of a destination in its own right, with a larger, more old-school cruising setup.

Club Aqua is a long-running gay bathhouse on Coral Way, offering a more old-school and cruisy experience than a polished modern spa.

The venue includes a dry sauna, gym, outdoor pool, private rooms and a mix of indoor and outdoor play areas. It’s a relatively large space and tends to draw more locals than tourists, which gives it a more authentic Miami feel than some of the city’s more polished LGBTQ+ venues.

The atmosphere is straightforward and sex-positive, with the focus firmly on cruising, relaxing and spending time around the pool or sauna. Saturday nights are usually the best time to go if you want a livelier crowd.

Clothing-optional gay sauna in Miami, located within the Gaythering gay hotel.

Gaythering is already one of the city’s best-known gay hotels, and having its own men-only gay sauna inside the hotel is a real rarity. You don't get such kinky perks at a Hilton!

Here, guests and visitors can move from the bar or their room straight into a clothing-optional sauna space with a dry sauna, jacuzzi, showers and lockers.

The setup is compact rather than huge, but that’s part of the appeal: it feels integrated into the hotel rather than like a separate bathhouse across town. For gay travelers staying in Miami Beach, that convenience is hard to beat.

    FAQs

What is the best gay bathhouse in Miami?

It depends on what you want. Club Aqua is the better choice for a classic bathhouse setup with more space, cruising areas and a pool. Gaythering Sauna is more convenient for visitors staying in Miami Beach and works especially well if you like the idea of combining a gay hotel, bar and sauna in one place.

Is there a gay sauna in South Beach?

Yes. Gaythering Sauna is in Miami Beach and forms part of the Gaythering Hotel. It is one of the most convenient options for visitors staying in or around South Beach.

Do Miami gay bathhouses have private rooms?

Club Aqua offers private rooms as well as lockers and communal facilities. Gaythering is more compact and hotel-based, so the experience is different from a full-scale standalone bathhouse.

When is the best time to visit a gay bathhouse in Miami?

Weekend evenings are usually the liveliest, particularly later at night. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, weekday visits or earlier hours are generally a better bet.

Are Miami gay bathhouses clothing optional?

Gaythering Sauna is clothing optional. Club Aqua also has a traditional bathhouse setup where towels are the norm in communal areas.

Can tourists visit Miami gay bathhouses?

Yes. Both are suitable for visitors, although entry rules, membership requirements and prices can change. It’s worth checking current details before you go.

Is Gaythering Sauna only for hotel guests?

No. Hotel guests get unlimited sauna access for the duration of their stay, with their own locker and key. Non-guests can also visit by purchasing a day membership.
